Od prošlosti do danas: NextGen Green Team istražuje šibenske tvrđave kroz strip
Povodom blagdana sv. Mihovila, zaštitnika Šibenika, dijelimo jedan od kreativnih rezultata našeg NextGen Green Team volonterskog tima Europskih snaga solidarnosti.
Tijekom svog boravka u Šibeniku volonteri su imali priliku upoznati grad ne samo kroz volontiranje i aktivnosti u lokalnoj zajednici, već i kroz njegovu bogatu kulturnu baštinu. Posebno mjesto u tom iskustvu zauzele su šibenske tvrđave, koje su istraživali kroz suradnju s ustanovom Tvrđava kulture Šibenik.
Kako bi ono što su otkrili približili i drugima, pretvorili su povijest tvrđava u kratku ilustriranu priču. U stripu nas sv. Mihovil vodi na malo putovanje kroz vrijeme, od Tvrđave sv. Mihovila, preko Tvrđave sv. Nikole i Tvrđave sv. Ivana do Baronea, povezujući njihovu povijesnu ulogu sa Šibenikom kakav poznajemo danas.
Rezultat je spoj povijesti, kreativnosti i perspektive mladih ljudi koji su Šibenik tijekom svog ESC iskustva upoznavali prvi put.

From Past to Present: NextGen Green Team Explores Šibenik’s Fortresses Through Comics
On St Michael’s Day, celebrating the patron saint of Šibenik, we are sharing one of the creative outputs developed by our NextGen Green Team European Solidarity Corps volunteers.
During their stay in Šibenik, the volunteers had the opportunity to discover the city not only through volunteering and community activities, but also through its rich cultural heritage. Šibenik’s fortresses became an important part of this experience, explored through cooperation with the Fortress of Culture Šibenik.
To share what they discovered with others, the volunteers transformed the history of the fortresses into a short illustrated story. In their comic, St Michael takes us on a journey through time, from St Michael’s Fortress to St Nicholas’ Fortress, St John’s Fortress and Barone, connecting their historical roles with the Šibenik we know today.
The result brings together history, creativity and the perspective of young people discovering Šibenik for the first time through their ESC experience.
